Bonjour, my little whiskers! 🍽️ Before diving into all the fun recipes I have in store, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share what this blog is all about.

I’m a Mauritian girlie with a passion for cooking that ignited when I was just 10 years old! Cooking has become a huge part of my life and my favourite way to celebrate life’s little moments. As a proud foodie and a bit of a picky eater, I’ve learned to personalize recipes to suit my taste while keeping their original flavours intact.

Mauritius is a colourful island filled with people from different cultures living together. This mix of backgrounds has created a delicious Mauritian cuisine that’s as diverse as the island itself! Every dish is a little adventure, bringing together different flavours and traditions to make meals that celebrate our vibrant culture.

From the age of 10, I’ve been helping my parents in the kitchen. I started with the basics, from peeling and chopping veggies to whisking and mixing ingredients. I even assembled my own school lunches, which was always a fun adventure! As I grew older, my love for cooking only deepened. And trust me, it wasn’t always a piece of cake—there were plenty of trials and errors, with some dishes turning out wildly different than I expected. Sometimes, I ended up creating something new and delicious entirely by accident!

Believe it or not, I used to take a whopping 20 minutes just to chop tomatoes and onions for a simple salad! So, let me tell you, if you stay consistent and keep trying, you’ll always come out on top.
